Terms of Use

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Cutbooks. By creating an account, connecting an integration, uploading documents, or otherwise using Cutbooks, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, do not use Cutbooks. For questions, contact cutbooksapp@gmail.com.

What Cutbooks Provides

Cutbooks is a record-keeping and organization tool. It helps users collect documents, track income and expenses, organize receipts and paystubs, record mileage, and review information that may be useful for bookkeeping or tax preparation.

Cutbooks may include beta features, automated categorization, OCR extraction, Gmail import, estimated calculations, and reporting tools. These features are provided for convenience and may change over time.

No Professional Advice

Cutbooks does not provide tax, accounting, legal, financial, employment, payroll, or investment advice. Any classifications, calculations, estimates, reports, or suggested fields are informational only and may be incomplete or incorrect.

You are responsible for reviewing all records, correcting extracted values, maintaining accurate documentation, and consulting a qualified professional before filing taxes or making financial decisions.

Your Account Responsibilities

  • You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must not access another person's account or data without permission.
  • You must notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the records, documents, and information you upload, import, or enter into Cutbooks. You grant Cutbooks permission to host, process, copy, display, transform, and analyze your content as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload or import the content you place in Cutbooks, including documents imported from Gmail or email forwarding.

Gmail Import

Gmail import is optional. If you connect Gmail, you authorize Cutbooks to use the permissions you grant through Google OAuth to read messages and attachments from the Gmail label you configure and import matching documents into your Cutbooks account.

You may disconnect Gmail in Cutbooks settings or revoke access through your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting Gmail stops future imports but does not automatically delete documents already imported into Cutbooks.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use Cutbooks for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or infringing activity.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security, access controls, rate limits, or usage restrictions.
  • Do not upload malware or content designed to disrupt the service.
  • Do not use Cutbooks to process data you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with Cutbooks except as permitted by law.

Beta Features And Availability

Cutbooks may be offered as a beta service. Beta features may be incomplete, may contain errors, and may change or be removed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

We try to keep Cutbooks reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or permanent availability of any feature.

Fees

Some Cutbooks features may be free during beta. We may introduce paid plans, usage limits, or billing terms in the future. If paid features are introduced, the applicable prices and billing terms will be presented before you are charged.

Third-Party Services

Cutbooks relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, database storage, file storage, document processing, Gmail OAuth, and related functionality. Your use of third-party integrations may also be subject to the third party's terms and policies.

Disclaimers

Cutbooks is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cutbooks and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, tax penalties, audits, reassessments, or financial losses arising from your use of Cutbooks.

Termination

You may stop using Cutbooks at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for Cutbooks or other users, or used the service unlawfully. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms as Cutbooks changes. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the app, by email, or by updating this page. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
